Mesa® Awning
The Mesa awning is our heavy-duty, small patio and window retractable awning. The design and operational use is unique and it is recognized for its vertical upward folding arms. This retractable is fully assembled (with the exception of installing the arms) and is available in a manual operation. This awning is designed for the purpose of providing shade in areas that are typically too small for our larger retractable models that are offered.
Even though it is a retractable awning, their structure is similar to a fixed awning when fully extended. The framework includes a heavy-duty steel and aluminum white powder-coated frame and powder-coated aluminum hood. It retracts and expands with multi chambered, stainless steel, and dual-cabled lateral projection arms.
The fabric is constructed of Beauty-Mark brand 100% solution-dyed acrylic fabric. Each fabric includes resistant coatings to help:
- Prevent fading from the harsh UV sun rays
- Resist potential soil and mildew build-up
- Provide a water resistant barrier that allows for water runoff
- Offered in multiple solid and stripe fabric color.
Each retractable awning includes our standard Sahara style 10 inch valance that can be used all year round as well as removed and stored away until the next season. Installation simply requires mounting of the brackets followed by securing the awning into the brackets. The awning may be installed on many different surface types such as brick, stucco, wood, stone and many others. Each Awntech awning is designed to be installed by DIY’ers constructing a DIY (Do It Yourself) project. Needless to say, this does not exclude contractors or professional installers. Type Of Delivery:
- LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) – 10’+ Wide Awnings:
- Curbside delivery with signature required.
- Small Parcel – 5′ and 8′ Wide Awnings:
- No signature required for small parcel delivery; left at recipient’s door.
- Fully assembled awning shipped in a box with a length approximately equal to the width of the awning unit.
Inspections:
- For Damage:
- Inspect the exterior and interior for damage before off-loading.
- If damaged, note it on the delivery receipt and refuse the shipment to expedite the return process with Awntech.
- Report concealed damages within 5 days to warranty@awntech.com.
- For Missing Parts:
- Notify within 30 days from delivery. Failure to do so will void warranty replacements.
- Contact warranty@awntech.com for assistance.
Scheduling Contractors / Installers:
- Wait to schedule appointments until delivery and inspection are completed.
- Note: Delivery services may encounter issues and aren’t always guaranteed. Sometimes, deliveries may occur without prior notification or scheduling.
- Product is DIY and can be installed by two or more skilled individuals; contractors not required.
